Chief Financial Officer at Librestream
October 2016 - May 2017 | Winnipeg, Manitoba, CanadaThe Librestream founders shared a similar vision that still guides the company today – to provide a way for teams to effectively collaborate on ‘things’ and environments virtually. This vision came from the founders’ direct experience in developing mobile technologies and witnessing the high costs and delays caused by inefficient communications. As specialists, they often found themselves on airplanes to travel onsite to help correct defects or processes. Often, it took only 15 minutes after arriving to see the issue and resolve it. Why not do that remotely? With that thought, the team formed Librestream in 2003 and spent the next few years inventing an entirely new product category and solution. In 2006, Librestream launched its first Onsight branded collaboration solution to the market and also signed a complementary private label arrangement with Tandberg, the largest video conferencing company at the time, which was subsequently acquired by Cisco Systems. Librestream’s initial customers were Fortune 500 enterprises with demanding security, bandwidth control, and collaboration workflow requirements. Guided by these customers, Librestream enhanced the Onsight Collaboration Platform to provide an enterprise-grade offering to meet these stringent requirements, the realities of field environments, and workflow simplicity. Those areas remain relevant today and customers continue to positively affect the product roadmap. These customers include some of the most innovative brands in their industries. Since the initial launch, Librestream has advanced the Onsight Collaboration Platform extensively to include a full range of collaboration products. The Onsight Collaboration Platform is now available on over 10 Million devices globally, bringing the eyes and ears of experts into the field virtually all over the world.
